Terms of service
The rules for using ToolsMotive, written to be read. The short version is below; the full terms follow.
In short
- Your files are yours
You keep every right to your content, and it is never used to train AI.
- Use it fairly
Lawful use, your own files, one account per person.
- Check AI results
AI can be wrong. Review important results before relying on them.
1Who we are and these terms
ToolsMotive is operated by A Digital Motive (Pvt) Ltd ("we", "us"). These terms are the agreement between you and us for using ToolsMotive: the website, its tools, the AI workspace and any paid plan ("the service").
By using the service you agree to these terms. If you use it for an organization, you confirm you may accept them on its behalf.
2Words we use
- Your content
- Files you add, text you type, and the results the service creates for you.
- Device tool
- A tool that runs in your browser, so your files are processed on your own device.
- Server tool
- A tool that sends your files to our servers to be processed.
- AI credits
- The units that AI tasks use. Each plan includes a number of credits; the cost of a task in credits is shown before it runs.
- Plan
- Free, or a paid plan with higher limits, as shown on the pricing page at the time.
3Accounts and eligibility
- Device tools work without an account, within the limits shown on the pricing page.
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- Give a real email address and keep your sign-in details safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- One account is for one person. Organization plans give each member their own seat.
- Creating extra accounts to get around limits is not allowed; accounts that are linked to each other share the Free allowance.
4Your content and our promise
Your files, chats and results are never used to train or improve AI models.
- You keep all rights to your content. We claim no ownership of your files or results.
- You give us only the permission needed to run the service for you: to receive, process, store (when you choose to save) and return your content. This permission ends when your content is deleted.
- You confirm you have the right to use the files you add.
5Acceptable use
Use the service lawfully and fairly. The full rules are in our acceptable use policy; in summary, you must not:
- break the law, or infringe anyone's copyright, privacy or other rights;
- remove protection from files you are not allowed to open, or process content you have no right to use;
- upload malware or try to break, overload, scrape or probe the service;
- use the AI to create content that is illegal, harmful, deceptive or that harasses people;
- resell or automate access to the service without our written permission.
6AI features
Some tasks use AI models. AI can make mistakes, miss details or sound confident when it is wrong. Check important results, especially legal, medical, financial or safety-related documents, before you rely on them. AI results are not professional advice.
AI tasks use credits from your plan. The cost in credits is shown before a task runs, and limits and monthly budgets protect you from surprise usage.
7Our intellectual property
The service, its design, code, texts, logos and the ToolsMotive name belong to us or our licensors. You may use the service as these terms allow, but you may not copy, modify or redistribute it, or use our brand in a way that suggests we endorse you.
Some parts of the service use open-source software under its own licence; those licences apply to those parts.
8Third-party services
The service relies on other companies for things like hosting, sending emails, payments and AI. Optional features such as signing in with Google connect to services that have their own terms and privacy policies. Links to other websites are for your convenience; we don't control their content.
The processors we use for your data are listed in our privacy policy.
9Copyright complaints
If you believe content stored or processed through the service infringes your copyright, follow our copyright and takedown process. We act on valid notices and against repeat infringers.
10Availability and changes
We work to keep the service fast, available and safe, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change or remove tools and features.
If we make an important change to these terms we update the date above, and tell account holders by email before it applies. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
11Liability
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is", and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or lost data. Keep your own copies of important files.
Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or rights you have under consumer law.
12Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from your account page; everything saved in it is deleted with it.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, for example for abuse, illegal content or attempts to get around limits. Where reasonable we warn you first and explain why.
13Disputes and governing law
If something goes wrong, please contact us first at our contact form: most problems are solved quickly that way.
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and its courts handle disputes. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live and may bring claims there.
